Know Any Cool Dragons?

I loved this movie back in the day,
and last year I got for Peli
(not knowing whether he'd end up liking it or not)
and he LOVES it now, too!
He sings the songs and always wants to eat an apple at the same time as Pete and Elliott do in the beginning- but never wants to watch the first part where the Gogans are trying to catch him (scary!)
You gotta love Elliott, who guides and protects Pete and is the perfect best friend, clumsy trouble-making and all). And don't tell anyone, but the songs are addicting too...
Yay Elliott! Happy Appreciate a Dragon Day!

Candy Corn Day
Did you know that today, October 30, is officially Candy Corn Day !!- A cup of Candy Corn has fewer calories than a cup of raisins
- More than 35 million pounds of Candy Corn is produced each year
- Halloween accounts for 75% of Candy Corn production
- The recipe for Candy Corn has not changed since it's invention in the 1880s
There are other types of Candy Corn besides the "normal" kind:
- Reindeer corn for Christmas (red, green, and white)
- Indian corn (it's chocolate and vanilla flavored)
- Cupid corn for Valentine's Day (red, pink, and white)
- Bunny corn for Easter (pastel-colored)
There is a plant called the "Candy Corn Plant" because it's blooms look like Candy Corn:
This was made by sticking Candy Corns onto a pumpkin:
You could always dress up as a Candy Corn: (kinda Go-Go style!)
And sorry, this grossed me out, but it's interesting! Target carries Candy Corn Flavored Soda from Jones Soda. SERIOUSLY?!?! [I also heard sometimes at Thanksgiving time they release a "Turkey" flavored soda...]
If you're uber-domestic, you can also make your very own homemade Candy Corns:
Of course, I am in no way that domestic. [Nor do I love Candy Corns so much that I would devote this kind of time and effort to making my own]... But if you are, or you do, find the recipe HERE. Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Witch-a-Palooza
(My mom said I was lookin' a little like Cleopatra...)My fave part of my costume, which I found for two dollars, were these stockings:
Me-Witch and Mom-Witch:
Me-Witch and Suz-Witch (Dallas' witch)
Beck-Witch and Karenne-Witch (Lance's witch and her mom-witch)
All us Witches...
We thought everyone there would be dressed up as witches, and when we got there, there were only about three tables out of 25 who dressed up... but it MADE the evening! We were dancing and laughing... and even my mother sang when a Cher-Witch handed her the mic!
If you have the chance to catch the show, you should!

I love good ole' chocolate chip. I also like peanut butter. And you can't beat the occasional Oreo, right?
