Epeli is 7 !!

Everyone says this. I know.
But I cannot... cannot believe that Epeli is seven today.
He was the best, sweetest, and funniest little one...
who crawled about 90 miles an hour, hair flapping in the breeze.
-
And now he's the best, sweetest, and funniest bigger one,
who does so well at school and sports, getting totally upset if he
makes a mistake of any kind.
-
I'm so proud of him and love him tons!

Peli-isms

{I've not posted Peli-isms for a long time, but these two just
KILLED me and had to be posted for foreverness.}
-
Peli and I were watching TV. We see a commercial
for cereal. Peli says,
"Mom, the kind of cereal you buy is
never magically delicious."
Right.
-
This morning, Peli says (which he's been doing randomly
lately,)
"Mom. We are the luckiest family in the world.
Wanna know why?"
(Of course, I'm always curious, and it's always
something simple I never thought of.)
I say, "Why?"
He says, "Because we have a bathroom that
doesn't have a bath or a shower. Just a toilet."
uhhhhh..... haha

Playground & Airshow

This little red shelf is a new addition to my wall (don't mind the doorbell
box thingy...)
-
A few days after I'd hung it, I noticed that Peli had placed one of his little
framed toys and one of Raini's little framed toys on the shelf. ;)
This made me smile!
-
The very next day, Raini had done something that bugged Peli and he was
mad at her. Therefore, he turned her frame around backwards! haha
-
I believe Raini took this while playing with the camera...
-
Peli asked me to take this one night when he had stuck his arm into the
diaper sack and was boxing with it. He also had some kind of sticker thing
on his forehead, so he was feeling pretty bad.
-
Raini at the playground
-
-
Peli at his first soccer practice
-
-
Saturday, the Blue Angels air show came into town.
Our friends had some free tickets, so we went over there to
check it out... pretty awesome!
Here, we were still in the car, on the freeway-
that's a jet above the road
-
-
There were SO MANY people there, it was insane. We were
lucky to follow a truck into an empty lot (he owned the land)
and he let us hang there. It was a perfect spot to see the show ;)
-
Of course... it was loud...
-
-
-
Cuties
-
Don't know the name, but this is the plane whose wings can be horizontal like
this, to fly forward, or they can move vertical, so the whole thing can stop
mid-air like a helicopter. It can turn around, go backwards... cool.
-
Raini took Suka for a little adventure walk...
-
Loop de loop
-
-
Those are parked cars at the bottom- he was so low to the ground!
This was during a World War II reenactment- they had a German plane,
an American plane, and guns on the ground, all 'shooting' at each other.
There were machine guns, bombs going off- it was exciting.
-
We opened the trunk to get some oranges... and Raini decided she needed
her life jacket. So... at least she wasn't gonna drown. In the middle of the desert.
-
-
This is the plane that had a guy up top (see him waving?!) Crazy.

-
This, I think, was Peli's favorite. He kept telling everyone that
this plane "did a double loop de loop and the guy didn't even fall off!"

pre-christmas

The last day of Kindergarten before Christmas Break,
Raini and I got to go to class and help Peli with his
Gingerbread House! Of course, we didn't really help, cuz
1. Raini just goes to the little play kitchen and plays whenever
we step foot in the classroom, and
2. Peli was clear on what he was doing and what he wanted
out of this gingy house and wanted absolutely no help.
Don't know where he gets that...
-
So, here it is:
{note: the 2 starbursts are a door- and he HAD to
add a doorknob. (duh.)}
-
{note: the pink 'dust' is his Snow! nice thinkin}
-
{note: the brown marshmallow on top is the chimney, and the
red thing to the left is actually a Santa candy- Peli wanted Santa to
be looking out the window}
-
-
So Proud
-
Rain got a couple of treats from class too ;)
...or she may have stolen them.  not sure.
-
I scooped some ice cream and told them to go sit down
(meaning AT THE TABLE...) and this is where I found them:
-
-
We were trying to watch Cowboys and Aliens, and Peli had already fallen asleep,
but Miss Raini was not even going there! So we set her up with her own lil movie,
some poppycorn, and she was SOOOOOO chillaxed. Suka even had to pull her
shirt down cuz her beer belly was totally just hangin out ;)

a bunch of things...

So, yeah, it's been a while.
Don't judge me. ;)
---
First off, a few things that made me laugh
this past week...
---
---
so true, so true...
... and remember looking stuff up in an actual book?
an encyclopedia?
a library?
haha
---
I have no idea why, but this
tickled my fancy soooooo bad
Poor T-Rex
===
And now, some photos from the last
couple weeks...
Peli's self-portrait:
-
Peli's attempt to photograph his beloved Cubs t-shirt
from school-
-
Yes... In a box.
-
Still in a box...
-
He We finally got his Legos Optimus Prime
and Bumblebee put together. It only took
three hours days.
-
This is my crafty craft for the month.
First, the frame was an ugly brown, so I spray-painted it
brushed-silver.
Then, made a ghost out of buttons!
It was fun and I'd like to do one for each month of the year ;)
-
Playin' in the front
-
-
(and yes, everyone's still in their jammies with lovely, combed hair...)
-
These Cars slippers were Peli's faves forEVER ... and now for some reason
Raini's gotten interested. She can barely keep her balance, but she's
determined to wear 'em anyway
-
-
This is an "Art Class" craft Peli did- they were supposed to make
the picture look like themselves-
I love the head and hair... and I don't know if everyone was 'tan'
made out of brown paper bags or not, but it's funny anyway.
-
This is another self-portrait, but this one cracked me up-
it's from a few weeks ago, right at the beginning of school.
They were just supposed to color the pic to look like them.
-
Yes, it looks like an old man. (??)
And yes, the outline reminds me of a 'normal' Sloth from Goonies.
-
Again- best part is the head and hair ;)
-
We did not carve pumpkins, but we did paint some...
Peli wanted his scary (left), we did a scared one for Raini,
and mine somehow looks like a middle-aged Relief Society President.
-
And in a final, bit-of-bragging moment-
Peli got an award at school-
It's called the Cubs of Learning Award.
He's such a cute student- he loves
school and his teacher...
so funny! Good job, Pel!
