Hero Factory, Cookies and First Flower

Epeli secretly took this picture of his
faaaavorite Easter treat- a cookies and cream
bunny!
-
Anyone who knows me at all knows that I'm not really... the "outdoorsy" type.
I haven't really camped since Young Womens, would rather go to the movie
than hike up a mountain, and have never- ever- gardened.
But this year... I caught the bug. I got some roses, lilacs and even
a few herbs to plant, as well as some awesome gloves... and two weeks later...
my first rose bloom! It's a purple tiger. You're welcome, earth. ;)

A few days ago Peli and Raini got a surprise from a special someone.
Peli got a hero factory guy he's wanted forEVER,
and Rain got a LaLaLoopsy Littles doctor set.
-
Ta Da!! Peli set up this shot, if you can tell... with the shoes and little toys
framing the oh-so-beloved "Surge"
-
Later, he put him on another guy's motorcycle
-
I've been informed we'll be sending this one in to Lego Jr. Club Magazine
for publishing...
-
-
Even later, Peli combined surge with another guy (splitface?) to create this lovely...
-
-
Meanwhile, Suka found a KILLER chocolate chip cookie recipe.
It took a few tweaks and a few tries to perfect it,
but they were yummy.
-
And finally, last night was Peli's school's dance festival. Before it starts,
you can browse some of the kids' artwork. This flower patch is from
Peli's class, and he's pointing to the one he did.

Fun things :)

In February, we're typically in the 60s and 70s with lots of sun and
maybe a bit of rain... but this is what we had one random day...
-
-
This past week, I decided (for the first time in my life) that I wanted to
plant some stuff! This is strawberries, with lavender on each side.
-
More strawberries, with chives and cilantro too.
-
This day, Raini brought up her "flower" and tucked it in for a nap...
-
Here's my lilac shrub ;)
-
And here's my lilacs at the top, with a purple tiger rose bush to the right of it,
a mister lincoln rose bush on the middle level, and a double delight
rose bush at the bottom. Nice gardening for a newbie!

Raini doing a water color painting...

This was Peli's watercolor creation

Another view of Gramps and Raini outside Lowe's...
-
While we were in Provo for Easter weekend, we were teasing
Gramps cuz when he emptied the dishwasher, several dishes
were left on the counter...

Easter 2013

This Easter, we were able to get up to grandma and grandpa's house
for the weekend! Super fun. The kids got to do an Easter egg hunt with
Lance, Ry and Halle ;)
Here's Raini with her spoils...
-
Peli spent most of the morning on the scooter...

Peli's was hidden inside the dryer ;)

This was from back during T-ball, Suka coaching
the team ;)

Raini and Peli showing off their harvest....
Gigantic zucchinis!
-
-
On the 24th, Peli got to walk in the parade with his friends-
Here they come...
-
Raini was explaining a whole bunch of things to me...
-
Finally, here they are
(ps- the cop was BLARING his siren super loud, which
was funny cuz it was so early in the morning )
-
Peli's right in the middle in his blue shirt
-
-
Peli at right
-
-
Rain loved the horses... she was talking to them
-
These dudes were also blaring their sirens
-
-
By the time we had driven to where the parade ended,
we had beaten them, so we got to see them walk past again!
-
-
Later, we hung out at the park...
Here's Peli and his friend
-
Raini just invited herself to watch another family's fireworks
-
-
-
This is Raini trying to wink haha
-
SPARKLERS!!

Our big fireworks presentation

Raini telling me I'm not watching the fireworks
-
This was our project today-
This is my old hutch that was always in my bedroom from when
I was a tiny girl. But it has been in storage for many years now,
banged up, dirty... but we fixed it up today
-
Nice, yes?
